Sotto Sotto Restaurant

Strawbabies,

I recently had an opportunity to dine on a Tuesday night at the Sotto Sotto Restaurant. Sotto Sotto is an authentic Italian restaurant that has been around for about 15 years in the Atlanta area. The doors were open in 1999. Even though it has been here for quite some time,  this was my very first visit to this cozy eatery and I want to tell you it was such a delightful experience.

Sotto Sotto is nestled in the Inman Park area. Yes, Inman Park has all kinds of secrets and hidden gems that I plan to uncover.  Sotto Sotto was named as one of the top 20 Italian Restaurants in the US by the New York Post. At the time of arrival, I had no clue of what I was walking into or what to expect. I did not do any research, I just typed the nearest authentic Italian restaurant nearby and I found this hidden gem. I arrived there almost an hour before closing. I normally don't like to arrive anywhere an hour before closing because I feel like often times you get the end of the barrel and you feel rushed to move along because its closing time.

I decided to suck it up and just take a chance. I was so happy that I did because Tuesday night I was craving Italian food. Not just Italian food, but the authentic kind that put me in the mind of my stunt in Italy. I missed it and I wanted to get that warm full feeling of an Italian eatery I experienced across the pond. I was on the hunt. I wanted some Lasagnette Bolognese. This is the traditional homemade version of the Italian comfort food lasagna. But no one quite makes it like the Italians. The food is so flavorful and it has been perfected over generations to be what I tasted on Tuesday night.

Hope you enjoyed the pics. Only a tease. You should make this one of your places to try after the COVID-19 Ban. This will be well worthy of a first stop on your agenda as free people.

If you want to explore more of this experience, head on over to their website www.sottosottoatl.com.
Make sure to tell them PinkStrawberry sent you for their amazing dining and food experience.

PS I Got the Recipe for Press

Well, Strawbabies, today I had an opportunity to spend some real learning time with Amy Flurry.  Amy Flurry is the author of the phenomenal book Recipe for Press.

Hint... If you own a business, this book should be a reference or even considered to be a helpmate. Amy discussed so much from the perfect pitches, the layout of pictures and even the views of an editorial.
I mean the whole idea of your business is to get business. If no one knows about you then it will soon be NO BUSINESS or OUT OF BUSINESS. She also gave us so many tips on how to create the perfect buzz for your brand.
I walked away from the workshop that was held at the ADAC refreshed and enlightened.

Now it's time to implement somethings I have been missing. Here are some pics from my workshop. Enjoy.

PS SUGAR Hair Boutique Atlanta & ROXXIE

I have been in a rat race to find the perfect hairstylist here in Atlanta. This is how Sugar Hair Boutique, Atlanta came into play. I know there are hairstylist on every corner literally. The truth of the matter is everyone on all these corners mostly are not great hairstylist or are horrible when it comes to time management. For me, I don't want to be a hairstylist's test dummy and I love for my hair to be a certain way. I go to lots of events and the first thing they see is your hair. I mean I wear my hair short, so if you do a mess up and I have to cut off and start over. My situation Strawbabies would be a fade and tape. So, doing the process of finding that hairstylist I basically resulted to growing my hair out. Shoulder length and if you know me, I have not been shoulder length since the the late 90s early 2000s.

A friend of mine recommended me to Sugar Hair Boutique Atlanta. She told me to go see Roxxie. Sugar Hair Boutique is nestled in the Edgewood District of Atlanta.  The day I went to Sugar Hair Boutique to meet stylist Roxxie, it was pouring raining and not a great day to really be in the hair salon. Roxxie made my visit very comfortable and relaxing to say the least I felt transformed after she finished my hair.  The aesthetics of Sugar Hair Boutique is beauty and comfort.

Strawbabies, let me give you the details. My visit to Sugar Hair Boutique started off with a consultation of services and then I was off to the shampoo bowl for a scrub. Take note that the time management was very up to par. Roxxie was not overbooked or stressed to get to her next client. Which made the experience more relaxing and comfortable. She paid close attention to my wishes and performed the task of revitalizing my image. After the wonderful scrub, I was off to her chair.  In the chair, Roxxie cut and molded my hair for my style.  After the mold I went under the dryer where I relaxed and reflected on PinkStrawberry and you Strawbabies. I had to tell you about her... She gets a PS 3 thumbs up and oops I only have 2.
Here are some pics from my experience at Sugar Hair Boutique in Atlanta.

Jewelry Making by blogger Helouise Verstraete

I had the opportunity to meet blogger Helouise Verstraete from Farielle Design. She is a jewelry designer and also she loves to cook. She has some extraordinary jewelry pieces that I just love and she inspires me to pick up with my jewelry making again and perhaps cook a gourmet meal or two. What I love so much about her blog is that it is a daily journal for her family back in Bonaire and it is also a wonderful spread of her handmade jewelry. She records and jots her day to day experiences so her family back home can keep up with her. She is a beautiful person inside and out.  I can't wait to catch up with this diva again sometime soon. Strawbabies, I hope you enjoy her jewelry pieces as much as I did.

PS Taylor Says

Eight days in the New Year and I have already spotted the stiletto of the year.  The shoe  industry has really stepped the bar up this year to include imagination, color as well as artistic abilities. It has only been two days and I am so amazed with the new shoes on the scene. I absolutely, positively love red bottoms but the new bottoms are something serious. At first site of the 2013 shoe collection,  I was intrigued by the brand.
Taylor Reeves, a shoe prodigy of some sort has come up with a true Headturner. Her shoe collection, “ Taylor Says” is an artist canvas on the bottom of a stiletto. Who would have ever guessed it in a million years. I guess Taylor did.
The brand’s collection range from $119 to $249. Her imagination ran wildly in of all places on the bottom of a shoe. Her artwork is truly a traveling canvas. On top of the fabulous shoe collection, Taylor named her shoes with names like Fierce, Freddie and Lookie. How Fab is that?
She has really made the shoe industry truly go in a different direction. The bottoms will
now be a beautiful canvas of not only red but a picture of one’s imagination.

Splurge on The Blue Door Boutique

I am totally in love before I even step one foot in the place. Never had that experience before but like my mom says"Keep living"  Anywho I was surfing and chatting on facebook with friends back home and in my friends like section, she had "The Blue Door Boutique". So Strawberries, that made my fashion radar go off completely. My friend, the cheapskate has a boutique in her like section I mean like really.
So, a little skeptical and a little nosey too because I am always talking boutique this, boutique that. I mean while in Europe for six years who didn't go to a boutique. Anywho, by way of facebook stalking I had a great opportunity to experience "The Blue Door Boutique" via facebook. I mean I would have run over there if it was here because I absolutely, positively loved everything I saw. But Strawberries, it's in Columbus, Georgia.
So, sometime real soon in my near future this is on my agenda for a day visit. I think this is a worth while trip. I have to see what's really popping over here because from what I see this has to be one of my favorite boutiques so far. I also read the about section and they said they would love to see you soon. So watch out Columbus, here we come. And you know Strawberries I will be keeping you in the loop. More pictures of my day trip to come. Please feel free to send questions that you would like for me to ask the owner and brain behind "The Blue Door Boutique".
Anywho, enough of the talking lets get to the shopping!!
