Sotto Sotto Restaurant

Strawbabies,

I recently had an opportunity to dine on a Tuesday night at the Sotto Sotto Restaurant. Sotto Sotto is an authentic Italian restaurant that has been around for about 15 years in the Atlanta area. The doors were open in 1999. Even though it has been here for quite some time,  this was my very first visit to this cozy eatery and I want to tell you it was such a delightful experience.

Sotto Sotto is nestled in the Inman Park area. Yes, Inman Park has all kinds of secrets and hidden gems that I plan to uncover.  Sotto Sotto was named as one of the top 20 Italian Restaurants in the US by the New York Post. At the time of arrival, I had no clue of what I was walking into or what to expect. I did not do any research, I just typed the nearest authentic Italian restaurant nearby and I found this hidden gem. I arrived there almost an hour before closing. I normally don't like to arrive anywhere an hour before closing because I feel like often times you get the end of the barrel and you feel rushed to move along because its closing time.

I decided to suck it up and just take a chance. I was so happy that I did because Tuesday night I was craving Italian food. Not just Italian food, but the authentic kind that put me in the mind of my stunt in Italy. I missed it and I wanted to get that warm full feeling of an Italian eatery I experienced across the pond. I was on the hunt. I wanted some Lasagnette Bolognese. This is the traditional homemade version of the Italian comfort food lasagna. But no one quite makes it like the Italians. The food is so flavorful and it has been perfected over generations to be what I tasted on Tuesday night.

Hope you enjoyed the pics. Only a tease. You should make this one of your places to try after the COVID-19 Ban. This will be well worthy of a first stop on your agenda as free people.

If you want to explore more of this experience, head on over to their website www.sottosottoatl.com.
Make sure to tell them PinkStrawberry sent you for their amazing dining and food experience.
