What Does Luxury Living and the Soft Life Mean to You?

Luxury living transcends mere opulence; it's a deeply personal experience that intertwines comfort, well-being, and the pursuit of refined pleasures. In this blog post, we invite you to explore and define what luxury living means to you. Whether it's the serene simplicity of a well-curated space or the joy derived from life's finer details, your interpretation of luxury is unique and significant.
Walter F George, Fort Gaines,Georgia

Defining Luxury
Luxury living goes beyond material possessions; it's a state of mind that encompasses comfort, time, and experiences. It could be the freedom to indulge in exquisite meals, the ability to travel to dream destinations, or the simple pleasure of a quiet evening surrounded by beauty. Take a moment to reflect on what elements elevate your life and make it feel extraordinary.

Marcel Atlanta

Comfort and Wellness
For some, luxury living revolves around creating spaces that cocoon them in comfort. Plush furnishings, soft textures, and soothing colors contribute to a sense of opulence within the home. Prioritizing wellness is also a hallmark of luxury living — whether through spa-like bathrooms, fitness routines, or mindfulness practices that nurture both the body and the soul.
The Ritz Carlton Spa, Lake Oconee
Exquisite Experiences
Luxury is often synonymous with memorable experiences. It could be a weekend retreat to a serene destination, savoring a meticulously prepared meal, or attending exclusive events. Consider the experiences that bring you joy and a sense of fulfillment, and how incorporating them into your lifestyle contributes to the luxury you seek.

Quality Over Quantity
In the realm of luxury living, the emphasis is on quality over quantity. This principle extends to possessions, relationships, and experiences. Thoughtfully curated items, meaningful connections, and memorable moments take precedence, creating a life rich in substance and significance.
Mediation

Personal Style and Expression
Luxury living is an extension of your personal style and taste. Whether it's through fashion choices, home decor, or the way you spend your leisure time, your individual expression adds a layer of authenticity to your luxurious lifestyle. Celebrate your uniqueness and let it shine through in every aspect of your life.

The Freedom of Choice
One of the luxuries that modern life affords is the freedom to choose. Whether it's choosing how you spend your time, who you surround yourself with, or the experiences you pursue, the ability to make choices aligned with your values contributes to a life of luxury and fulfillment.

My heart ❤️ wonders Free, Find your peaceful place. Finally doing what I ❤️to do!!!

As we delve into the intricacies of luxury living, it becomes apparent that it's a dynamic concept that evolves with our aspirations and personal growth. What does luxury living mean to you? Perhaps it's a harmonious blend of comfort, experiences, and personal expression that creates a life truly worth savoring. Take the time to explore and define your own version of luxury, and in doing so, elevate every moment to a state of opulence uniquely tailored to your desires.

Happy New Year 2023

Strawbabies,
Who set a resolution this year?  Well, I didn't!!!
This year I came up with a word and an action for the year.
My word is PRODUCE and my action is PRODUCTION.

My personal loan to you this year is
PRAYER🙏
PLAN
PRODUCE

I am excited about everything to come this year. I am also thankful for your continued support and I look forward this year to interacting with you more consistently.
I also hope to meet some of the 161K of you that check me out on a daily basis in person.

Currently stalking a venue for my first event of 2023.
I am also doing 12 Trips in 12 Months.
I can't wait to share the deets.
I am  looking forward to some of you Stamping your Passports and Traveling with me as well.
I have revamped my Vinyl Shop soooo I have the custom Tees and products.
I am also very super super excited about PS MY WORLD dropping in the next couple of weeks.
2023 has already started and I always take a breather around the beginning of the year because I always end the 4th Quarter on a High Note.

So, this month or the first 30 days of this year, I am focusing on Self- Care and Self- Love to get this New Year off  to a great start.

IF YOU WANT TO JOIN ME

Start by Doing these Challenges the next 30 days. I am an Alpha Female. So most of the time I multitask. I understand if you can't do all in the next 30 days. But I will promise you if you make an effort to complete any of these challenges. One area in your life will be in a better condition.

On my blog for the Challenges I am going to journal  and do updates on each of the challenges in the next 30 day Period. The challenges end on FEBRUARY 9th and on the 10th we will discuss our next set of challenges.

If you want to do a CHALLENGE BE SURE TO RESPOND DOWN BELOW⬇

Challenge #1 100🚲🏊‍♀️🏃‍♀️🚶‍♀️

Doing 100 Miles in 30 Days. That's  equivalent to about 4 miles a day. So on this challenge you can do it a number of ways.
But before you start of course talk to your Healthcare Professional if your health is not the best.
You can do it 2 ways. 2 miles in the morning and 2 in the evening. Or all 4 at one time. Beat the track.
You can Walk, Run, Bike or Swim
Listen its simple. No excuses.
You can get you a piece of paper. Write 1 through 30 or a calendar. Journal your miles and in 30 days we will add everything together to see if we reached the 100 mile mark in 30 days.

Challenge #2 HYDRATE🥛🥛🥛🥛🥛🥛🥛

Water is a vital part and necessity of great Health. What is your water intake? If you are not drinking 7 glasses or 7 water bottles in a day. You are really not doing your body good. Simple change. All water. Drink 7 bottles of water for 30 days. We are not stopping here but let's just get through the first 30 days. DRINK WATER!!!!!

Challenge #3 HEALTHY BODY

Refer back to Challenge  #1. This probably should have been one. Let's Make a point of finding a family care Provider or a regular PCP. Let's get a full physical. Let's see what shape your body is really in. Ok I know you are saying. I don't have health care insurance. Let's start with a plan to save money to do a walk-in at a PCP. Let's take the initiative and say you know what. I am IMPORTANT without a healthy body I have nothing. Google low cost or No cost health care facilities or locations in your area to see if you can at least start with the minimum. Blood pressure, glucose, weight. But I will discuss this further if you commit to Challenge #3.

Challenge #4 MONEY BAG💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

Let's get our finances in order. We are going to make a budget and a savings Plan. If you are not working or have an income. First step is we are looking for a Job or Hustle in 2023. If you do have a income or job then let's collect all those bills together and tally up what we owe and then come up with a plan to pay. If you have no savings then we can start small and move closer to our goal. But first let's collect the bills together and Tally up who and what we owe. When is it due? Is it pass due?

Challenge #5 CREDIT IS KING📈📊

Don't run off now. We are working this year. This year will be a life changing year for all of us. Let's talk about credit. What is your credit score? Do you even know? Let's look into finding out the score. Where on the playing field do you fall?  Poor/Fair/Good/Excellent. In this challenge. We are going to go through some fundamental steps of Excellent Credit and the steps you need to take to get there and stay there.

Challenge #6 READING IS FUNDAMENTAL📔📕📗📘📙

Reading, We are going to start off with affirmations and Great Self -Help Books. Put your eyes on 52 books this year. One book each week. Ummm No excuses. Where can I fit time into reading? We will discuss options. Audible books maybe a great option for you. Listen while you are moving. Feed your mind as much as you feed your body and soul.

Challenge #7 REVITALIZE YOUR SOUL🌞🌞🌞

Soul Searching let's search YOU. Who are you? What do you like and let's spend some quality time with yourself and exploring new things and experiences. This year We really need to find out who are You. This year honestly ask yourself. WHO AM I?

Challenge #8 THE CALENDAR📆

Let's organize our journey this year. The Calendar. Let's practice saying NO and the importance of organization and being on time and present. Let's get A Calendar and schedule what needs to happen and when. Let's be proactive and inclusive of family members, friends and work. Everything gets entered on The Calendar or hey it doesn't happen. Easy fix to implement in your life if you fill overworked. Of course emergencies do happen. but everyone's emergency isn't yours. Let's Create a Tunnel Vision to PRODUCE.

Challenge#9 I'M A BOSS📑

This challenge is for the OK I've did all of the previous things but I really need to just buckle down on some other things. Let's discuss will, life insurances, trusts, investments, businesses and really crossing our Tssss and dotting those Issss.

Challenge #10 A VISION CAN BECOME A REALITY👓

What is your Vision for this year? What is it that you would like to accomplish?  What is holding you back? Bringing it all together.

Eat Breakfast Boys

Strawbabies,
Let’s do brunch in CP. CP as in College Park, Georgia.
Place: Breakfast Boys
City: College Park, Georgia (Atlanta Metropolitan Area)
Purpose: BRUNCH
How many Stars?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Listen Strawbabies everything was everything. But the catch to enjoy the total experience and miss the total excitement of something sooo good is to go during the less popular Brunch days. The weekdays. The times posted on the website is 8am to 3 pm.

The menu is down below🠟

The drinks were amazing as well.

The parking can be challenging and please please don’t park at the next door Subway lets just say BOOT 👢 and not the kind you wear. The kind your car would.
The wait times can be frantic as well on the days we previously talked about but after these little kinks.

My experience was worth every one of them.

A smart move would also be to just make a reservation.

The staff is amazing, the drinks are EPIC  I could do 2 or 3 or 4 maybe more.
 I think this is a 10 of 10 I definitely RECOMMEND.

You will not be disappointed and let’s just say we can absolutely, definitely do Brunch at Breakfast Boys. We are definitely brunching in 4th quarter 2022 and 2023.

Sotto Sotto Restaurant

Strawbabies,

I recently had an opportunity to dine on a Tuesday night at the Sotto Sotto Restaurant. Sotto Sotto is an authentic Italian restaurant that has been around for about 15 years in the Atlanta area. The doors were open in 1999. Even though it has been here for quite some time,  this was my very first visit to this cozy eatery and I want to tell you it was such a delightful experience.

Sotto Sotto is nestled in the Inman Park area. Yes, Inman Park has all kinds of secrets and hidden gems that I plan to uncover.  Sotto Sotto was named as one of the top 20 Italian Restaurants in the US by the New York Post. At the time of arrival, I had no clue of what I was walking into or what to expect. I did not do any research, I just typed the nearest authentic Italian restaurant nearby and I found this hidden gem. I arrived there almost an hour before closing. I normally don't like to arrive anywhere an hour before closing because I feel like often times you get the end of the barrel and you feel rushed to move along because its closing time.

I decided to suck it up and just take a chance. I was so happy that I did because Tuesday night I was craving Italian food. Not just Italian food, but the authentic kind that put me in the mind of my stunt in Italy. I missed it and I wanted to get that warm full feeling of an Italian eatery I experienced across the pond. I was on the hunt. I wanted some Lasagnette Bolognese. This is the traditional homemade version of the Italian comfort food lasagna. But no one quite makes it like the Italians. The food is so flavorful and it has been perfected over generations to be what I tasted on Tuesday night.

Hope you enjoyed the pics. Only a tease. You should make this one of your places to try after the COVID-19 Ban. This will be well worthy of a first stop on your agenda as free people.

If you want to explore more of this experience, head on over to their website www.sottosottoatl.com.
Make sure to tell them PinkStrawberry sent you for their amazing dining and food experience.

Thumbs Up Diner Atlanta

Strawbabies,
My honest opinion. I was not paid or coherence to do this post. Well slightly, my stomach did.
I had to share with you guys a cool breakfast spot. I have eaten here many of times and well its just too good to just not tell you about it.
I enjoyed this particular experience on a Tuesday morning. I always visit the location that is located
at  573 Edgewood Ave SE Atlanta Ga 30312.
The whole experience was excellent as usual and of course I was always meaning to blog about it.
Okay, so my waitress was very attentive to my needs. The wait was short and my food arrived swiftly.
I ordered the Skillet Heap and it is definitely a heap of goodness. It is so much of a heap that I could not muster it all in one table setting. I had a heap for later.
I also ordered a homemade biscuit which melted in my mouth with every single bite.
I was so pleased that Strawbabies it's truly a Thumbs Up.
See you there next time for Breakfast Behavior.

Expose Yourself and Conquer your FEAR.

Strawbabies,

Well its all about self help on here. Conquering. Living and just enjoying the short moments we have here on earth. Okay, so let me tell you about this.

I am afraid of heights. Actually afraid is a understatement. Let me rephrase that.

I WAS AFRAID OF HEIGHTS UNTIL WELL THIS PAST WEEKEND.

Yeah, this past weekend. I conquered a fear. Okay, I know you are saying how. Well first off let me tell you I didn't start off being afraid of heights. I fell 7 stories so I started being afraid of heights. Let me explain. It was kind of weird because as long as I am in a plane or in a building I am okay looking at the skyline or the view. But lets say you tell me to go on the roof top or stand on top of a mountain or just be outside and suspended in the air. NOPE couldn't do it .  Well this weekend all that changed for your girl.

I made up in my mind that FEAR is a weakness. FEAR will make me miss my blessings and my calling. If you put it on a mountain top outside Strawbabies your girl right here would have missed the mark.

I have snowboarded, skied. bungee jumped, um been in the ALPs. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower all before I fell. After I fell I just had a fear of I guess falling again and this time maybe not coming out so blessed.

Anywho, I told my mind I would NEVER. I trained my mind to stop living my life. I live a um adventurous life. So heights in my life are kind of a way of  life for me because somethings I have to go heights to get to them.

How can you soar with eagles and you are afraid of  Heights?

Answer: You CAN'T BECAUSE EAGLES SOAR THE HEIGHTS.

So, I made up in my mind to do it. Conquer it. So this is what I did.

I drove to Amicalola Falls. Yessss Chasing Waterfalls. I got in my car and headed 2 hours north of Atlanta to conquer a fear. On top of conquering this fear. I was celebrating my brother's birthday and in remembrance I wanted to PUSH through and use all the things he taught me. One of them was PUSH.

At the base of the Waterfall.

The Waterfall. Photo Credit www.amicalolafalls.com

Stairs leading up to the top of the Falls. Photo credit www.amicalolafalls.com

The base of the waterfall. People were fishing here.

The moment I pulled over to take a breath and moment to realize. I conquered a FEAR.

I encourage you to make this beautiful journey also. You will surely love the beautiful views and cool breezes. The scenery is captivating and the waterfall lets just say it was AMAZING. There were even people there fishing for Trout.

On my quest. I drove up the mountain. Stood out and looked over the mountain. So a view I would have never have seen if I hadn't decided to just Conquer and Defeat.

I had a wonderful experience and I will most definitely be going back soon.

Did I say there was fishing?

Question for you Strawbabies.....

What FEAR do you need to conquer and defeat?

This is your year and everything attached to me is winning . So this means if you are reading this you are a Strawbaby and you are attached to me and we are winning.

CONQUER AND DEFEAT THAT FEAR.

Carlynn Thornton

Water your garden daily

Strawbabies,

As life goes on and evolves on its axis daily. We often go through storms, trials and experience many loss. During these experiences we often loose sight of the dream or the baby that you were birthing. Sometimes you get away from the things you love and hold dear and just go into survival mode to just keep a float.

Honestly, Strawbabies that's where I have been just trying to keep a float and pass the moments until everything feels real again. I was waiting for the perfect timing to relaunch. I was waiting for the perfect timing to start blogging again. I was really just waiting to start living again. As I blog this post I am in the perfect place to start blogging again because guess what I am blogging. I have tons to catch you up on and I have even experienced some life experiences at some point Strawbabies we will talk about.

I hope everyone is living and thriving and being the best Strawbaby ever because you know we sprinkle glitter every place we go and in every moment we experience.
I also want you to know that it is possible to keep pushing and win.

My new thing that keeps me going now is "Everything attached to me wins"  I got this inspiration from a gospel singer. I feel like this song really just pushed me out there to where I need to be.

My mindset is WINNING.

My blog was a dream of mines that I blogged through my experiences and shared all these things with you. Lately, I retreated into privacy and just focused on somethings that I needed to do. I had to conquer some things, I had to lose somethings, I gained somethings. I met new people. I let some things just go. I focused on me and my family and things that I hold near and dear. I wondered at times through all of this how is all of this possible and how did I get to almost being nonexistent. I never figured that one out till this very moment. I don't know how i let so many weeds grow in my garden. I don't know why I left my garden unattended for so long. My garden um looked like a jungle. So I started weeding, watering and growing. Nurturing my garden. I had to start somewhere.

I hope this post inspires you to Water your garden daily. Its your garden. You know how you want your garden to look. You know what you would like in it. People will come to your garden and give their opinions. Even try to destroy the garden you built. You have to realize that This is your garden and you have to water it daily to SURVIVE.

I hope this song inspires you as much as it inspired me.

The Atlantan and Sushi

Strawbabies,

Recently,  I had an opportunity to go experience sushi at RA.

RA is a Japanese chain known for its  sushi, innovative cocktails and happy hour shindigs.

RA is snugly located at 1010 Midtown near Crescent and 11th Street.

It was tons of fun. The aesthetics of the restaurant was an interior design masterpiece. The sushi was also pleasing to the tummy as well as the eye.

I would definetly go again.

If you love Sushi, this would be a great spot to try in the Atlanta area.

PS SUGAR Hair Boutique Atlanta & ROXXIE

I have been in a rat race to find the perfect hairstylist here in Atlanta. This is how Sugar Hair Boutique, Atlanta came into play. I know there are hairstylist on every corner literally. The truth of the matter is everyone on all these corners mostly are not great hairstylist or are horrible when it comes to time management. For me, I don't want to be a hairstylist's test dummy and I love for my hair to be a certain way. I go to lots of events and the first thing they see is your hair. I mean I wear my hair short, so if you do a mess up and I have to cut off and start over. My situation Strawbabies would be a fade and tape. So, doing the process of finding that hairstylist I basically resulted to growing my hair out. Shoulder length and if you know me, I have not been shoulder length since the the late 90s early 2000s.

A friend of mine recommended me to Sugar Hair Boutique Atlanta. She told me to go see Roxxie. Sugar Hair Boutique is nestled in the Edgewood District of Atlanta.  The day I went to Sugar Hair Boutique to meet stylist Roxxie, it was pouring raining and not a great day to really be in the hair salon. Roxxie made my visit very comfortable and relaxing to say the least I felt transformed after she finished my hair.  The aesthetics of Sugar Hair Boutique is beauty and comfort.

Strawbabies, let me give you the details. My visit to Sugar Hair Boutique started off with a consultation of services and then I was off to the shampoo bowl for a scrub. Take note that the time management was very up to par. Roxxie was not overbooked or stressed to get to her next client. Which made the experience more relaxing and comfortable. She paid close attention to my wishes and performed the task of revitalizing my image. After the wonderful scrub, I was off to her chair.  In the chair, Roxxie cut and molded my hair for my style.  After the mold I went under the dryer where I relaxed and reflected on PinkStrawberry and you Strawbabies. I had to tell you about her... She gets a PS 3 thumbs up and oops I only have 2.
Here are some pics from my experience at Sugar Hair Boutique in Atlanta.

Jewelry Making by blogger Helouise Verstraete

I had the opportunity to meet blogger Helouise Verstraete from Farielle Design. She is a jewelry designer and also she loves to cook. She has some extraordinary jewelry pieces that I just love and she inspires me to pick up with my jewelry making again and perhaps cook a gourmet meal or two. What I love so much about her blog is that it is a daily journal for her family back in Bonaire and it is also a wonderful spread of her handmade jewelry. She records and jots her day to day experiences so her family back home can keep up with her. She is a beautiful person inside and out.  I can't wait to catch up with this diva again sometime soon. Strawbabies, I hope you enjoy her jewelry pieces as much as I did.
