The Smores Kit

I recently neglected my blog a bit due to my very busy wedding/event planning business. The summer months often get hectic due to the summer brides and of course those summer birthday bashes. I truly missed blogging and promised to do at least one story every week and here it is already Friday again and I haven't did that one story. Not to break my promise, I decided to begin right away with the perfect favor idea I found on the net. I am a lover of  smores so this idea really caught my attention and this is the perfect time to give one to family and friends. The season is changing and the days are getting cooler. I am a lover of the fall/winter seasons and all the things it brings including the cold and snow. Some people say," they love summer because of the warmth it brings". I beg to differ because the winter brings warmth too. I love well-lit fireplaces, barn-fires,hot chocolate, warm apple pies and pumpkin pies. Must I go on. The smores kit idea, I found would make the perfect favor for any occasion whether casual or formal. The trick to this favor is the way you dress it up or down to present to your guest  you can change the twine or bow to compliment your occasion. For example, if it is a casual outdoor barn-fire affair keep the twine, or if it's a holiday dessert exchange you can tie it with a festive bow or ribbon and for a wedding favor use a more fancier ribbon or tulle.  I hope you enjoy this favor as much as I did.

Mondrian Miami

I was recently thinking how much I need a vacation. I wanted to go this month, but I got bogged down in everyday responsibilities and work and decided to just put it off. Well I have decided to go the end of September to Miami Beach and I am staying at the Monderian Miami. So if any of you want to go along in my quest of South Miami Beach, I will be happy to have you. Here are some pics of the hotel and of course I will be stopping in on Evelyn Lozado and her boutique plus trying a couple of the hottest restaurants in Miami.

I feel relaxed already and I haven't event left yet.
