Welcome to PinkStawberry. Glad you finally made it to our blog. I started this blog to share my ideas and inspirations. I would also like to share new ideas for life's celebrations. I love to travel, entertain and party. But most of all I love my family and friends. My life is busy with my three wonderful kids and dog Biggie. But to top it all off I am loving my life and every little precious memory is worth celebrating. I love design, interior decorating, parties, social gatherings, weddings or any other small etsy reason to get together and have fun. So..... Enjoy life Carlynn

A Humble Beginning

Strawbabies,

Everyone starts some where. The beginning may not be the perfect start or ideal timing but it is the Start. Last week I got an opportunity to go back to my hometown Fort Gaines, Georgia. It is 2 hours and 48 minutes from Atlanta. The Atlantans consider this as the other Georgia. But I consider this my Georgia.

LOCATION ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nope, Im not from fancy pants NYC or LA. As a matter of fact I'm not from a city period. I am proud of my START. Its my start and I am so grateful and honored that it took place here. It is the most beautiful place in the world to me and yes I have been all over the world. When I left Fort Gaines I had big dreams and many opportunities ahead of me. Alone the way the journeys have not always been great or peaches and creme how the country folk say. But again this has been my journey.  I often get emotional when speaking of my town. My town is a family oriented place. everyone knows everyone and you would not just pop up here. Unless of course you knew someone who knew someone who bought you here. Get it.

Fort Gaines beauty can be defined in millions of ways. From the people with colorful characters. to the homecooked meals, to the lake, to the view of the millions of stars, to the fields upon fields, to the quietness of peace, to the no city skyline to the wilderness.

It is a place of gratification and solitude. I have traveled thousands of miles and days to feel this solitude. I have LAUGHED until I could not laugh anymore here and at the same spectrum I have CRIED until I could not cry anymore here.

It is a beautiful secret that I hold in my heart each day as a fight the hustle and bustle of city life. I often wisp myself back there with a phone call or two. I am constantly reminded how proud my Fort Gaines is of me and I am reassured what will happen will be. I often tell my new friends about Fort Gaines and I can tell from their facial expressions with their fancy degrees, million dollar homes that they are clueless about my journey here. I proudly boast my hometown name with crickets left in the room and the mapquest person who says o Albany Georgia. I know exactly where you are. When clearly you dont because you are almost 45 minutes off the mark. I just smile and say maybe one day you can come home with me.

THE LAKE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Strawbabies who are from Fort Gaines see this a hundreds times a day and are not excited about the Lake.

THE FIREWORKS⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

But I am here to tell you our town is a hidden Jewel tucked away in Georgia and to be from there is valuable in itself.
